Let’s talk brows! To me, brows are a huge thing. Probably because I barely had any my teenage years. Yes! girl, I had Chola “sharpie brows” they were terrible on ME of course.
I have a round face, imagine that with some little line across my face. Exactly! Horrible. If you follow me on instagram or facebook, which I hope you do! If not click on the links here and here! I talk about a lot of brows, specially the Anastasia Beverly Hills Dipbrow Pomade. I actually have most of the colors since I also am a makeup artist and I freelance (but who ins’t right? Lol). I wanted to bring some shine the light on this little Tarte item that I seriously rarely hear about.
The Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse! Have you tried this?
Here’s the 411!
Products Details: “Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse is a long wearing, vegan, waterproof eyebrow mousse that won’t flake or smudge and comes with a double-ended brow brush to flawlessly define, fill, and groom eyebrows” – Ulta
What it does: “Takes the guesswork out of arch perfection with this Amazonian clay-infused brow mousse. The formula’s light, airy consistency allows the product to naturally glide onto brows and blend seamlessly—no worries about harsh lines or waxy build-up. The Amazonian clay intuitively identifies your skin type to deliver benefits and restore harmony. This mousse minimizes oil around the hair follicle to balance skin and keep pigment in place, while naturally nourishing and hydration to prohibit product from flaking or transferring” -Sephora
Price: $29.99 0.1oz
Application: Using the included shape shifter double-ended bamboo brow brush, lightly dip into brow mousse and brush through brows using short, upward strokes. Use the comb end of the brush to smooth over brows before and after application.
Ingredients: Dimethicone, Methyl Trimethicone, Ceresin, Trimethylsiloxysilicate, Microcrystalline Wax/Microcristallina Cera/Cire Microcristalline, Hydrogenated Polyisobutene, Disteardimonium Hectorite, Hydrogenated Polycyclopentadiene, Squalane, Lecithin, Caprylyl Methicone, Isopropyl Titaniumtriisostearate, Sodium Lauroyl Aspartate, Aluminum Hydroxide, Zinc Chloride, Propylene Carbonate, Kaolin, Phenoxyethanol, Mica, Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI 77492, CI 77499), Titanium Dioxide (CI 77891).
My thoughts: Let’s cut to the chase, this product is $10 more than the Anastasia Pomade (0.14oz). The Tarte Amazonian Clay Waterproof Brow Mousse brings a brush, which is the Anastasia’s does not. If you were to purchase the Anastasia pomade for $18.00 and the their brush $18 = $36 plus taxes.
I’ve had my mousse for a long time and still have so much. To be honest, I feel the urge to get a new one but that’s just the makeup hoarder in me. I consider this product a well-kept secret because you never see people talking about this. I love that it has a grayish tint to it, not red. I feel that it works best as it gets older since it’s a little less creamy. The brush is probably not as great as the Anastasia because it’s a little thicker and sturdy.
Overall, if you are looking for something that’s not a “Limit Edition” to try. Try this! Definitely, one of my Tarte favorites. Try it and tell me what you think?
